The Boys
NS's chest is clear. His ears are dirty and for some reason the dr didn't clean them out. I clean them out at least once a week with 'baby' q-tips (they have a bulge so they don't go in deep).

I got a cream for the eczema on his back.

The bad news is he's only gained half a kilo (about a pound) in 3 months. Which is about when my supply tanked and the PCOS symptoms came back full force.

On the one hand though, for a breastfed baby, his height to weight ratio is pretty good as you can see here ).

But for his age he's short and underweight as you can see here )

As a matter of fact he's just about fallen off the charts for length. Of course there's nothing I can do about that short of oh, I don't know... hanging him by his ankles with the laundry for a few hours every day.

With the weight though... I'm torn. On the one hand I was planning on weaning him anyway in another 3 weeks. On the other hand his weight to length ratio is pretty good, yet there IS the fact that he only gained half a kilo in three months (and grew 1 cm in one month).

Sigh.

And let's not forget his reaction to the yogurt so introducing dairy (whole milk) to his diet may not be a good idea. I did just think of something though. Over 3 days he had 2 containers of plain, unflavored yogurt and was fine with that, then he had a strawberry yogurt and later that day the diarrhea and red diaper area showed up. He had the diarrhea again when I tried peach yogurt a few days later. None of the yogurts were specifically geared towards babies.

So... suggestions from the parents out there... go for the soy formula for 1 year olds twice a day? Try plain yogurt geared towards babies? Both? Neither?
