Had some fun with the camera and binoculars last night (not together)... hope the photos came out nice. There's one I took yesterday morning, with clouds filling the valley. If it looks nice, I may send it to Sky and Telescope.

The rest of the evening was a bit more frustrating.

Zach finally received paperwork from the hospital... June 11th... pissed me off that it's taking so damn long. And it's 2 days before we're hopefully going to do our SCA tour of Israel.

With surgery set, and so close to when we're coming back from the States, Zach will probably be going for a week... and I will probably be going for 2 weeks.

Spoke to my sister. Gave her a clue regarding my internet enterprise, which at this point is more than any of you will get :)

Just designed 3 wine bottle labels. Will post them once I get the final ok.

Zach will probably miss crafts night, as he has a geek conference. I'll be there though.

Shabbat will just be the two of us, planning on going in to Jerusalem on Friday so the menu has changed. Cabbage soup will wait for next week, this week will be tomato basil soup with rice, broiled salmon, steamed veggies and baked potatoes. Not sure what to do for the next day... maybe salads and deli.

After living on this settlement for 5.5 years, I finally applied for membership. For the both of us... meeting is on Wed. which means the belated b-day dinner is delayed. Probably do it Thursday and the girls can join us. All membership really means is that I'll get to vote for the settlement officers, have a reason to hate the ones that get voted in and potentially be one of the despised.

PLEASE!!!! Does ANYONE here in Israel have a digital camera I can borrow?

After posting last night, I went upstairs for bed.. Zach was already asleep... snoring 4 different ways.

I didn't even try. Just got my pillows and went into the sewing room... then spent 15 minutes trying to chase Smudge out from under the bed. While doing that I was tempted to wake Zach and have him deal with it and sleep in the sewing room... but I didn't. I wonder if he knows how lucky he is....lol

Illustrator class is finally moving past the "I already know this stuff" and the work is going to finally start getting interesting. Maybe I'll post what I did next week...

I'm thinking for Shabbat of making a cabbage soup with beef and marrow bones... I LOVE it that way. Also making the ever sinful chocolate lover's truffle brownies... and bringing some to work in honor of my leaving the place. Maybe make salmon as well...

My neighbor became a grandmother for the first time. Her daughter delivered (naturally) twin boys... only 3 weeks shy of her due date. From what I was told, both boys were around the two kilo range. May they continue to thrive and be healthy. The young lady is also doing well. And this was done with fertility treatment. So again, I'm hopeful...

My throat really hurts, so does my head. Amd still coughing and congested and my throat tickles all the time. It hasn't settled in my chest yet, I can feel whatever it is sitting at the bottom of my throat..

And the damn HMO's website is flarked again so I can't even make an appointment online.

My laptop might not be worth salvaging.

I still need to find someone willing to let me borrow their digital camera.

I wonder if Barak is coming for Shabbat this week or maybe next...

I will probably be getting this fairly soon.

Excuse me.... my nose is running and I need to go catch it.

I will be quitting work in the next couple weeks. I've had it... I will be going back to school and taking a few courses - Illustrator, InDesign, possibly Flash.

With more time on my hands, I will be getting the scarf selling up and running.

Also, curtains for the windows.

Each cycle we come closer to a success, but the pain from the failures doesn't hurt any less.

I took a roll of pictures...and only 25 of 36 came out. I believe the photo place screwed something up, but I was too rushed to find out what had happened. I'm annoyed because two of the pics that didn't come out were of Zach looking rather sinister in his cape. Will have to redo them.

My right wrist is killing me again. Need to buy an ace bandage.

Had fun at the SCA A&S meeting, where we decided on preliminary projects. I'll be doing a leather doublet for myself (not for fencing....maybe it will be my archery garb...lol) and I want to get into jewelry...but I haven't decided what kind.

Today I have an appointment with Misrad HaKlita (Absorbtion Ministry) to see whats available to me regarding education or job placement. When I called to make an appointment, the woman told me that everything is in Hebrew...which struck me as stupid...if you're the Ministry that deals with new immigrants....why have things only in Hebrew???

Then I'm going to head into Tel Aviv and meet up with Gilli and check out the leather store. Zach will be making himself a leather fencing doublet...

Then back to Jerusalem for an appointment with my gastro and then it's possible I'll meet up with a high-maintanence friend of mine...I'm trying to get out of it, using D2 as an excuse...D2 is coming today and tomorrow (she's usually with her dad on Tues. and Weds.) to clean her room, as she is having a friend come over for Shabbat.

Saw Casanova on Sat. night. we went in expecting a fun movie with breathtaking costumes, and weren't disapointed. [info]mick_hale, [info]yaffa and [info]zevabe saw Rent at the same theater, and we met up after to get something to eat. We had a great time, and I even got a chance to meet [info]happyduck1979's brother. I gave him our number and an invitation for a Shabbat visit...we lured him with the prospect of free VoIP phones and wireless internet...

For some strange reason, my legs are totally bitten up...

We're going to be in Jerusalem again for Shabbat, and I'm not so sure I want to go....but I will... will be staying with Josh and Shawn. Going to buy stuff at the Shuk on our way there, going to exchange the keyboard I bought at BUG for one that is compatible with the OS at work... and I think I'm going to take my camera. I have a few ideas for photo projects once I get my digital, and I'd like to see the contrast with conventional cameras... I also want to finish the just started roll since I have a photo of Zach I'm anxious to see.

I also want to order a couple books on Amazon, which means talking to Yehuda, to borrow his credit card and then talking to Eva to find out where in the US she'll be and if she could bring back 2 books.

Remind me to stay away from posts and links related to "feminist liberal Judaism"... they only serve to annoy me.
