Coming up from the subway to the street in downtown Brooklyn, on my way to college.

I'm heading up the stairs and I feel a pop, look down and there is my underwear... the waistband had snapped, around my calves, heading towards my ankles.

I glanced behind me and saw no one, looked ahead and the coast was clear...

I casually stepped out of my undies and headed for the lingerie department at the nearby MACY'S before class.

And yes, I left them where they had fallen.
19th-Oct-2008 12:25 pm - Comparison shopping
The Boys
On my list: 3 pairs of pans (1 pair of jeans, one pair of cargo and one 'other'). Cheapest long-sleeved shirts. Footed PJs. Socks.

I went to The Children's Place, Crazy 8, JCPenny, Target, KMart and Old Navy websites.

Target was the most disappointing with JCPenny a close second as far as selection and price went.

Crazy 8 was average.

TCP wasn't bad for price but had a terrible selection.

KMart was actually not bad in both selection and price.

However, Old Navy hands down was the best for selection and price.

I think Sunday I'm going to do a comparison shopping online at a few websites to see which place is the cheapest.

Target, KMart, The Children's Place, Crazy8... maybe Sears and JCPenny.

NS needs some things... 3 pairs of jeans/cargo pants, a couple sweatshirts, socks and a couple of footed sleeper PJs.

The long sleeve onsies I can get here. And I think he has enough long sleeve tshirts.

While I am totally not a fan of shoes for babies until they're actually walking, these are so cute and only $1.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone on a different list (REALLY!!) wants to know where there's a place one can buy lingerie - specifically fitted corsets. She says the only ones she's managed to find are small, medium or large and well, she wears a size 16 dress and is a 38DD.

I've gone looking for lingerie for myself and I can say the stuff they have here is 1. ugly for the most part, 2. made out of materials where one shouldn't even THINK "open flame" while wearing it, 3. 'large' is a skewed concept and/or 4. terribly expensive.

Now long ago, when I bought a sexy corset, in NY, I bought according to my bra size. It was really nice, comfy and fit well.

Anyone know where my friend (no, really, this isn't for me!) can get something here in Israel?
