The Boys
Had a great time last night at Eva's birthday party. Met some rather interesting people..some I'd like to get to know better and see more of and others that I could definitely do without. The food was fantastic and it's on our lists of to do again.... Beef. It's what's for dinner... I had 200 gram fillet medallions, served medium (with just enough pink like I like it), cubed baked potatoes, a grilled piece of eggplant, zucchini and red pepper, served with this black pepper sauce that was heavenly.

Friday was very low key....we went to Alter and Naomi's from Tel Aviv last night and it was nice not having to be awake at 6:30 to catch a bus... Zach introduced me to a cafe in the Ben Yehudah pedestrian mall, called Cafe Nouveau. I've been hankering for pancakes or Beligian waffles with ice cream... when I got the menu though things changed. Zach got 6 small pancakes, served around fresh fruit salad (plums, apples, oranges and strawberries) with a small bowl of berry puree and a pat of butter. My dish was 9 or so two-bite peirogies (fried just right so they were crispyish on one side and chewy on the other), onions fried to brown crispiness and sour cream...around the plate was cracked pepper....YUMMY. Yet another place we're putting on our 'repeat' list.

Then back to Naomi and Alter's for SCA geekery...then shopping and...well, we're back and I'm takin it easy. We'll be in Jerusalem for Shabbat. After Shabbat, Zach has a thing and I have a seperate thing, although depending on how my thing goes, I may end up joining his thing...
