So.... thanks for all the input folks. I also spoke to my mother in law. She was/is on the WW core program, which she said is the WW version of South Beach.

From what I've seen and read, South Beach is a better version of Atkins and I believe that we'll be going the SB route. We're going to look into ordering a book or three and we'll start.

In addition, I will probably be quitting my job in the next 4 months or so. Unfortunately it's not because of maternity leave (I wouldn't quit until after the three months paid leave is up), but I've finally had it with the long commute, a boss who really isn't nice and well...I'm as far along at the job as I'm ever going to be. I'm looking into going back to school to learn the newer graphics/publishing programs (InDesign and Illustrator) and to learn GUI basics. Since I'm here for less than 10 years, I'm eligible for some sort of government assistance I think...I emailed a list for the info.
